Kenneth Hemmerechts is a post-doctoral researcher at the Free University of Brussels in Etterbeek (VUB) where he is currently working in the field of the sociology of education. Previously, he has worked at different universities in Belgium on a variety of topics, including migration, criminal recidivism, fraud, police capacity, employment and trade unionism, genocide and social theory. He has ample experience in mixed methods: survey design and implementation, experiments, agent-based modelling, interviews, observations and archival research and has conducted data collection in school settings throughout Belgium.
His work has been published in international scientific journals of comparative sociology, history and educational sciences.
He is a member of the coordinating team and will be primarily contributing with the scientific coordination and in Working Package 3.
